The International Franchise Association released its “2010 Business Franchise Business Outlook” last week and reported that financing for new franchises is still a huge problem. They expect demand of $10.1 billion with the financial markets only forecast to lend $6.7 billion. The $3.4 billion shortfall will result in 134,000 jobs not created and $13.9 billion in economic output lost.

Each year, YPG plans a number of Business Networking Events throughout Chicago’s Southwest Suburbs. Typically, an after-hours networking social is held on the First Thursday of each month. YPG is open to business professionals of all ages throughout Chicago and the suburbs.

I attended a great networking breakfast in Aurora earlier this month sponsored by the Fox Valley Networking Professionals. The group was put together by Bill Winsininski and meets regularly every month. I thought it was a good mix of established businesses, new businesses and service providers.
