IFA: Access to Credit Remains ‘Hurdle’ for Franchisees in 2010

The International Franchise Association released its “2010 Business Franchise Business Outlook” last week and reported that financing for new franchises is still a huge problem.  They expect demand of $10.1 billion with the financial markets only forecast to lend $6.7 billion.  The $3.4 billion shortfall will result in 134,000 jobs not created and $13.9 billion in economic output lost.
